Report of the 1st Convention

A 123-strong European citizens’ panel met in Brussels from June 3-5, 2005 to consider what they think should be done with our new-found knowledge of the brain. The panel includes 123 ramdomly selected citizens drawn from nine European countries – Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The citizens' deliberation phase ended in January. The Meeting of Minds Partner consortium is committed to disseminate the citizens' findings and recommendations to national and European policymakers. This is being achieved using different means such as:
